Ailsa Baby Hat

Knitting is basically all about how you use knit and purl stitches. I love playing around and making new combinations.
It keeps me interested in my craft. Sometimes I pull it back - sometimes I like the way it looks!
Hope you enjoy trying out this one!

  1. That's a very pretty hat. I must remember to save it to my favourites when I am more awake.

  2. these are absolutely gorgeous im knitting for a mac millian charity sale next month and ive just knitted one of these x

  3. Just finished it in bright blue Yarn Bee Soft Secret. Came out lovely, did a stretchy cast on...very intricate looking but manageable stitches. Thank you for the lovely motif.

  5. What do yon and yrn mean? I am assuming one is an increase and one is a decrease, but not sure. Thanks.

    1. Update: the yon=yarn over needle, is before a knit and the yrn=yarn around needle is before a purl. These put the yarn in the correct position for the next stitch.

  6. Thank you so much. I could not find's very helpful!!!
